We must find a middle ground. A place where we once again start teaching kids that they have a role; a responsibility in what they DO with the incoming communication.

We soon found ourselves in a world where the smallest remark found someone feeling devastated and in need of seeing the school counselor.

Then, things swung to the opposite end of the spectrum, and kids were taught, “You should never have to hear someone say mean things to you. It’s so hurtful!”
