I just learned that some of my open data were used for a group project at a summer school focused on learning drift diffusion modeling :) made my weekend!

Imagine an alternative universe where sharing data and code is the (extremely sensible) default and we all do it - what reasons in that universe can you come up with why some1 *wouldn’t* share data+code with a paper? I bet apart from privacy concerns you can only come up with nefarious reasons ;)

Experimentology is out today!!! A group of us wrote a free online textbook for experimental methods, available at experimentology.io - the idea was to integrate open science into all aspects of the experimental workflow from planning to design, analysis, and writing.

So the new editor needs to be able to travel to the past? ;)

Had a great time at RSA in New Orleans and learned a lot! I hope to be back again next year :)

Pro tip, folks: if you make a figure for a publication, don’t just hand the copyright over to the publisher. Post it on OSF first and then give yourself permission to use it in the first publication and then all future publications. That way, no permissions issues.

Big Five personality differences by Zodiac sign (N = 324,929). Eta sq are all less than .0008, so less than 0.1% of the variance in personality is explained by Zodiac sign.

🚨 New study reveals that when used to summarize scientific research, generative AI is nearly five times less accurate than humans.

Many haven't realized, but Gen AI's accuracy problem is worse than initially thought.

Why do alcohol and negative mood increase bad decision making on the IGT? Through increased reward (but not punishment) learning rates!
