Context for those who might not know, the building our previous unit was in, caught fire. Ours was mostly fine but had some water damage. Building won't be livable for awhile so we were relocated to a different building, so this unit wasn't by choice :'3

Only real nice thing so far is the neighbor has some cute cats they let out on their balcony. I wish I trusted my cat that much but she launches herself at squirrels X3
Fridge looks nice too, oven looked nice till I saw paint on the burner grates💀

The toilet is too close to the toilet roll, and the toilet roll is screwed in too high so we can't use it till half of the roll is used💀
I'm just finding little things here and there that are slightly worse than our previous unit thats making me dislike this one.

In our new place now, idk if I like it :c road is busier than I thought it be so its loud, north facing windows, feels smaller, seems a little less nice(though oven and fridge seem newer). Do kinda like the uncovered balcony more though.
Hopefully we can get it nice and cozy again regardless ^^

Even the Halloween cookies I was saving are long gone and the stores stopped carrying those cookies well before Halloween😭

Should be the last day we're here at my parents, not looking forward to the moving part tomorrow though.
But so looking forward to have our own place again. I'm so so mad the fire took away half of my favorite month. I haven't been able to do any seasonal stuff :c

If I didn't want a dog so bad, and we could have 3 pets. This would be the thing that finally convinced me to get another cat X3

I kinda feel bad for my cat in all this, she adjusted so well to my parents place and plays a lot with their own playful boy. But come this weekend she'll be moving yet again to another new place, with new smells, and no friend.

I'm ready to go home and sleep in our bed! Gonna try picking up some art supplies and my bugs tonight though 🧡

for awhile. Also lugging furniture down then up 3 flights of stairs gonna be tiring and we don't know anyone with a big truck this time😭

But it is still top floor and the balcony is uncovered so we should still get a good amount of natural light, and the balcony is uncovered which helps even more. Its also in the back so we have more privacy.
Its only a couple minutes away but its yet another move which I was hoping not to do again

I'm pretty sad about it though, we lived there for 2 years and just started getting comfortable enough to decorate and really make the place ours(I have difficulty doing this due to past experiences), and the new unit is north facing so we'll get little to no sunlight :c

Well got some good news and bad news about our situation.
Bad news, the building we were living in will be under maintenance for awhile so we won't be able to move back. Good news, they are giving us a similar unit in a different building and we should be able to start moving in this weekend!

Also forums were the best way to market your work, the thing modern social media was based on. But now instead of 20 different niche sites with a wide variety of people. Its now funneled into one site, one timeline. Makes it impossible to jump ship at the slightest inconvenience.

I think something people forget about the good ol days of gallery sites and why artists could make them work at the time. Before the major socmed sites, places like DeviantArt was thee place to find art. Industry professionals hung out and hired people from there. They just don't do that anymore.

This right here. I love my art friends and art community, but I'm also trying to run a business as a freelancer/selling products and I need the reach! Every time we scatter to different platforms it's a little harder to exist as a working artist whose primary visibility is only online.
