Without any context, you wouldn’t associate this music with sadness, but in this context, we learn so much about what she is feeling right now.

It’s hard to put into words how it felt to compose the music for this short film by Michelle Martinez.

It’s beautifully shot on 16mm film, and in my opinion required all 100% real, live instruments for the score.
