I wish ppl didn't pit the sequel movies against each other. no, tlj did not ruin things/characters, it built off what was established in tfa the fandom willfully ignored. no, tros doesn't ruin what tlj set up, it carries over emotional/character beats beautifully

Is this the safe space to say that I think Poe has one of the best character arcs in Star Wars? It is well-done, organic, and has a satisfying conclusion of taking him from martyred hero to wise leader - Leia's most daring pilot to her successor. I wish it got more appreciation!

Probably because we’ve had over 40+ YEARS to talk about the Original Trilogy and 20+ YEARS to discuss the Prequel Trilogy.
So yeah, I’m probably going to want to discuss the newer material???
Honestly, it’s the same for me. It’s the one thing that gave me the first big smile in Star Wars in a long time and it lifted my spirits during a rough spot last year. And it’s just a really great, fun episodes with some Din-Bo antics, Jack Black, and a revisit of the old Deathwatch crew.
