Archaeology (Time Team, Portable Antiquities Scheme). Politics (Green Party). Always have too much going on to do anything properly.

Congratulations to @zackpolanski.bsky.social. Grateful to everyone who gave time, energy + heart to our campaign. 💚
Hugely proud of the record-breaking successes of our party in recent years. Let's keep growing our movement.

Currently we appeal to those who otherwise might vote for any party. Let's keep on threatening all our opponents, not just Corbyn!
30.08.2025 08:19 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0A fascinating Newsnight interview. Both the political journalists on the panel said that it's a competition between: broad church & appealing to voters of every party on the one hand, versus fishing in the same waters as Jeremy Corbyn on the other. A very clear choice, I'd say.

A very clear analysis of why the Green Party is different to all others. It has broadly left-wing policies because these are essential for the planet, but it is first and foremost a Green party and not a leftist party.

“If a new political party is setting up, now, without having climate- and ecological- breakdown front and centre, then it’s hopelessly out of date”: Adrian Ramsay brilliant, on LBC #GreenLeadership debate, on why the Green Party is deeply different in fundamental starting-point from Corbyn-Sultana.

Huge congrats to Diane @ddpearly & well done to the Wealden Green Party for holding Horam and Punnetts Town.
The Greens are keeping seats like this because constituents see us delivering, not just shouting from the sidelines & delivering nothing like some parties seem to do.
Great to see that the English Devolution Bill, published today, restores the Supplementary Vote system for electing mayors and PCCs.
In a blogpost last year, I set out why the switch to FPTP in 2022 was bad for democracy, and why reversing that move is good.

I’ve put together this listing of top endorsements for Adrian & Ellie for the Green Party Leadership race. They really are quite something. Check out this thread 🧵.
Let’s start with the mother of all endorsements: Caroline Lucas’s: x.com/carolineluca...
This is indeed the best analysis of Green electoral success I've read. Under Carla & Adrian, the party has gained power and influence on a whole new scale. Let's keep going upwards with Adrian & Ellie.

Bear in mind (did you see what I did there @bearlypolitics.co.uk 😉) this was the Chair of the party. If he’s this clueless, imagine what all those rookie councillors are going to be like. 😳 Excellent article, worth a read.

We’re not here to stay small. We’re here to win. Mark Redding’s right — it’s time for leadership that speaks to real people, not just the Green bubble. Let’s take this to the next level #TogetherWeWin

Screenshot of an amendment to the King's Speech, voted on 23 July 2024. The Amendment is to abolish the two-child benefit cap and is signed by all four Green MPs.
Nigel Farage wants attention for *saying* he’d scrap the 2-child benefit cap. But in the vote against it, did he show up?
No. Zero Reform MPs voted against the cap in July.
Green MPs put it in our costed manifesto, signed the motion, and voted to scrap it. Actions not words.

This is the first really good assessment of @greenparty.org.uk leadership race.
Those of us who are worried 😟 about our planet 🌍 know we have to gain the voters attention.
🤔We can easily put voters off by the terms 🤔shorthand?... we use to describe what we are about.
