A Dangerous Disguise for Anti-Semitism The suspect who allegedly shot and killed two Israeli-embassy aides invoked the Palestinian struggle as a pretext to harm Jews.

@yair-rosenberg.bsky.social: โ€œNeither Palestine nor Israel will ever truly be free until their societies are liberated from megalomaniacal men who perpetrate demonic acts in their name.โ€

It Should Not Be Controversial to Plead for Gazaโ€™s Children Israelโ€™s limits on aid have put the region at โ€œcritical risk of famine.โ€ Help is within reach. But itโ€™s not enoughโ€”and itโ€™s arriving too slowly.

For sure, but most countries are not democracies. Too many people wrongly think having elections is enough to sustain democracy. If there are no checks and balances, there is no democracy even when there are elections taking place. See Turkey, Russia, Hungary and soon, Israel.

Thatโ€™s exactly it. If the vast majority of citizens donโ€™t understand what is happening to their country, and there happens to be a bad actor in charge, who surrounded himself with yes men who parrot his doctrine, democracy doesnt stand a chance. Protest is the only way, but you need thinking citizens.

The protest is in vain. The vast majority of Israeli citizens either donโ€™t understand the gravity of the situation, or understand but donโ€™t believe anything can be done about it.

Firing the โ€˜Conscienceโ€™ of the Military Getting rid of the militaryโ€™s top lawyers is not exactly a sign that the Trump administration wants to follow the law.

"One of the first things President Donald Trump did was fire all the lawyers. Perhaps he and his minions have not read Shakespeare recently, but they intuited the role of a Shakespearean villain, nevertheless."

The Trump presidency is deeply embarrassing. Today, he and JD Vance, went to new lows in attacking president Zelenskyy โ€“ a true war hero. Trump and Vance looked weak. Absent their positions they are weak. Today we witnessed way beyond Nixonian abuses of power. It was Hilterian.

Elon Musk's only profitable company, Tesla, has created a cumulative grand total net income of $34 billion in its more than 20 years of existence.

That's less than the total amount of US federal subsidies his empire has collectively received.

The economics of Elon Musk are as bad as the politics.
