it’s quite long though, so if that’s not your vibe i would also recommend her short story collections!
catching up on s3 of hacks how do i always forget how GOOD THIS SHOW IS

06.11.2024 12:37 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 1and also why I actually really enjoyed house of the dragon when I genuinely wasn’t expecting to… I know og GOT fans hated the focus on rhaenyra and alicent but i was loving it
02.11.2024 14:13 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I think this is why I felt dissatisfied by the ending of agatha - so much potential between these two women left completely unexplored
02.11.2024 14:11 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I often think about what Phoebe Waller-Bridge said about Killing Eve (or at least S1): “Every moment in this show exists so that these two women can end up alone in a room together.”
I think this pretty much sums up the type of media I like to see
from the first ep, seemed like their relationship should have been a central focus but marvel has never been good at exploring relationships between characters tbh. always too focused on setting up what’s coming next to spend enough time fully realizing the current story
02.11.2024 13:27 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0many, mainly wish they’d focused on agatha/rio. so many questions left - if teen was the one breaking agatha out of the spell, why was rio even there? so we know why agatha hates rio, but why is rio so angry? how was rio able to give agatha “time”? just so much potential to explore
02.11.2024 13:24 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0ok i have now finished agatha all along

got this in the mail a week ago from friends of AK Press, and have already burned through it! would highly recommend - especially if you struggle with understanding your individual role in relation to movement building
08.09.2024 17:39 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0i actually don’t teach, most of what i do is “behind the scenes” curriculum development! this happened during training for our summer student staff 😅

26.04.2024 04:00 — 👍 3 🔁 1 💬 0 📌 0ooh “short and weird” has been exactly what I’ve been reading lately. I recently finished Thirst by Marina Yuszczuk, which might fit the bill depending on how you define hopeful… also Chlorine by Jade Song if you haven’t read it already, and Fifteen Dogs by André Alexis!
