Any people going to #isb2025 on here? Thinking of going bouldering there one evening. Want to join? Let me know!

03.07.2025 11:03 β π 34 π 12 π¬ 0 π 1If this were a normal @ispgr.bsky.social and I would be handling the official account as usual, this is the moment I would sign off. Not this year. Keynote tomorrow at 8:30. Party in full swing. Loving it! See you all tomorrow! #ispgr2025
02.07.2025 20:50 β π 19 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Btw, this is only part of the team. Some members were mia due to the huge and very interesting poster session

01.07.2025 10:07 β π 12 π 2 π¬ 1 π 0Have you met any of our JPND funded STEPuP project members yet? We cannot be missed! Ask us about this amazing project @ispgr.bsky.social #ispgr2025

29.06.2025 14:59 β π 7 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0And another preprint, this one from our STEPUP consortium: "Foot placement coordination is impaired in people with Parkinsonβs Disease". Too many authors to tag!

New preprint by Yiyuan Li, with @jvandieen.bsky.social and others; The contribution of vestibular and proprioceptive signals to trunk stabilization varies between postural tasks and between walking speeds. www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...
feedback welcome!
On my way to Maastricht for @ispgr.bsky.social! See you there!
29.06.2025 10:39 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Just make sure to bring some sporty clothes
28.06.2025 06:59 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Bump. Who will join for bouldering? probably tuesday after conference.
20.06.2025 06:23 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0sure! I will make a communication channel of some sorts, and communicate about the planning.

Want to do this. Shall I do this?
19.04.2025 07:14 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Also, (ssssht, tell this to your students!) I've heard that despite the deadline, the registration for the mentorship programme is still open..... What are you(re students) waiting for?

So who on here is going to ISPGR this year? Anyone up for a night of bouldering? There's a great gym in Maastricht... #Biomechsky
18.04.2025 09:27 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 1That time of the year againβ¦. Waiting for an old geezer on the other side of the pond to light a cigarette, so the refreshing of my feed can beginβ¦ #bm100
14.03.2025 15:08 β π 14 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0:-). Partially caused by my inability to Google, and my knowledge that the people out here are still way smarter than LLMs... ;-)
04.03.2025 13:51 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Or, maybe you need to know one (either alignment or position), but you would probably be able to estimate the other than, right? And wouldnt that be optimal over assuming these both? Or is this optimisation problem simply to underdetermined then? My gut feeling says this should be possible?
04.03.2025 12:50 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0btw, the toolbox looks super cool, and I've been wanting to play with it, but little time. Hopefully this summer.
04.03.2025 12:43 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ok, one last, maybe ignorant question. You assume known IMU locations and sensor to segment alignment(time invariant), and then fit model on angular velocity and acceleration. Would it be possible to use orientation data in addition, and by doing so estimate the time invariant parameters?
04.03.2025 12:41 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0The 2D one you provide goes straight to their journal club. Will be tough, but fun I think. We discuss similar thing for IK from mocap data (journals.plos.org/plosone/arti...), so they should be able to handle this I feel.
04.03.2025 12:11 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This is great, thanks! Probably would have found this by pubmed after long enough, but was a bit at a loss what to search for!
04.03.2025 11:55 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0tnx :-)
04.03.2025 10:46 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thats more or less what I mean. What's interesting is that they skip orientation alltogether.....
04.03.2025 10:46 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Do you have info on how you use that? (looking for info for a course I'm teaching... )
04.03.2025 10:37 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0#BiomechSky; question for all you IMU people... (forgot to tag earlier)
