Ok weird take: Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde for NES isn't bad. There's a huge difficulty spike in Level 4 but it's not a bad game at it's core.

So I’m going through a gauntlet where I play 30 minutes of all my NES games and the next game on my list is… oh boy…

I've played other ports of arcade fighters: Street Fighter 2, Mortal Kombat 2 & 3, Jojo HFTF, MvC1, etc. and they all either give me some incentive in their arcade modes to improve or just have an element of dumb fun.
Capcom vs SNK is not it. This game is just infuriating.

Nope. Definitely not fun. I was so mad I was actually having extremely self destructive thoughts. It got personal.

Gotta love fighting games where the CPU is programmed to react to your inputs with the best option. Really great incentive for new players to get better and not discouraging at all
