Montpelier to create a separated bike path along Barre St. Part of a larger project at intersection of Main St/Barre St. The Council is considering options at their meeting tonight. But it looks like things may be moving forward as soon as later this year.

Should be all done in the next few weeks! The Town of Groton has hired Blue Mt Excavating to put down gravel and grade out the railbed throughout town.

I said I was working on saving sections of M&WR as a trail. He said he wished it was still a train. I said at least we can tell folks the history. He said "I don't know history."

That was fun building to wander through. Long and narrow and stacked to the ceiling with things you might need. Been sorting through old railroad photos lately.
