hexi's theme is all about being away from home and missing your loved ones, and the many, many people who had already died in the chaotic period of the tang dynasty, but their story is still worthy to be told and remembered
when i watched the patch preview, i was like, LMFAO WHY ARE YOU QUOTING LI BAI'S MOST FAMOUS POEM TO ME (or aka, THE chinese poem) and the moment i went in, cleared the first part of the quest and noticed the quest was named after the poem, i Realised
you can tell i really like the hexi patch so far, bc chii finally checked it out today, and i started yapping about li bai's quiet night thought mid-game. it just really set the tone immediately for chinese speakers, but non-chinese might not make the immediate connection
