He did not care about protecting Congress or the Capitol building or democracy then. he does not care about protecting citizens or cities now. He cares about himself and his agenda.

Don’t forget … this is the same president who watched from right down the street and FOR HOURS did NOT call in the National Guard on January 6th as the Capitol was being ransacked and Congress people and the VP were being hunted and democracy was at stake.

His supporters voted for him to say and do whatever the he wanted to, hold the WOKEness. They got words and action.

I suppose they wanted the country to become unrecognizable?

it’s true! Democracy is beautiful and fragile. It depends on people honoring following the rules.

The SBannons and the SMillers and the PThiels have been studying the fault lines of our democracy, our society, and of human nature in order to exploit them to create their vision. It’s insidious.

In Leaving behind Dei initiatives that have widened the scope of possible candidates to include ALL the qualified talent, rather that SOME of the qualified talent, What are we saying to these kids?

Who is so afraid of our potential as a society, where all people approach their potential.

I would argue that as individuals develop their expertise in areas of innate talent, rather than pursuing some other gendered endeavor, actually doesn’t weaken the qualifications or the applicant pool, but instead strengthens both.

In Leaving behind DEI initiatives - which have created opportunities for marginalized people, and encouraged countless kids to follow their TALENT and train in areas that lead toward historically white-male-dominated industries - what are we saying to these kids?

She is now a double major in physics and mathematics with nearly perfect grades over 14 years of her education. She works her ASS off.

This child showed a propensity for math at an early age but dismissed it for reading, art and creative writing for many years. She didn’t lean into it until she began to notice how hard math was for other kids and was persuaded that she had a talent, aptitude for it and could succeed

What are we saying these kids?

I know a brilliant, highly academic kid who would fall into the, of late, disparaged category of a diversity, equity, and inclusion candidate - on perhaps 3 fronts - all of which is to say: she is, among other things, NOT a White Male.
