I saw they did, but I haven't checked em out yet. Was thinking of doing an episode on em, but we've recorded one more episode already, the Franchise Battle Royale, and after I post that, I'm taking August off to enjoy the summer and re-evaluate / re-focus the pod going into the fall.

I think everyone in the episode was surprised not to see The Shawshank Redemption on anyone's list haha I Love You Man really is one of my favorite comedies actually. Have you been watching Shrinking? Jason Segel is fantastic.

Great list! I think the most interesting part is how so many good movies were released this year so each person's list is going to be pretty different. I actually haven't seen a bunch from yours: Nebraska, CBGB, Her, Dallas Buyer's Club, and Blue Jasmine.

The 2013 list started with like 80 movies I've seen. I wittled it down to 30, then focused on a Top 15 from there. So, we'll probably still do 1983, I just expect that our lists will be very similar, which is okay.

Hahaha I did see it. I just didn't get a chance to respond yet. That's actually what made me think, "oh yeah, I haven't really posted on Bluesky in a little while."

I gave '83 another look. Definitely some bangers. I guess what I meant was more that I'm used to starting with a much larger list.
