I’m very much enjoying this summer without months long heatwaves as in some of the last years. (AC is still not really a thing here)

We’re having only 20-25 Celsius (about 70 F) here in the Cologne area, with rain every now and then. Kind of a recommendation, kind of… not 😬

“Die Sendung wurde erfolgreich zugestellt“ = The package was successfully delivered.

(it’s now 6pm on a Saturday. I don’t think they are still working) My generic parcel app says “delivered” since noon. It’s not here. Someone was at home at all times. Will check tomorrow if it’s in my friends yard/terrace. I’m really curious if I’ll ever get my cap. 🧢

during the original delivery window “mid May”. Well, now he’s on his first vacation day travelling. I contacted the @nebula.tv support some weeks ago who confirmed to have changed the address to mine instead of my friends. DHL says the package is in the delivery truck since 8am today //

Ordered a Jet Lag cap months ago once the metric edition of the game from an EU warehouse was announced. Should have been delivered to a friend as I was on vacation //

(I pre-ordered a Jet Lag cap with original ETA to Germany in “early May”. Silence since then. Wanted to wear it last weekend on a race. Will be sent to a friend as I was on vacay in May - now he’s gonna be away soon.)

I totally get that setting up international logistics/shipping on another continent is a big challenge, but it would be highly appreciated to get an email telling that my order is weeks delayed than me having to check the @nebula.tv shop page for an update. 😕

But there were >60 old episodes to listen to. So I ran more often. And further. And got occasionally also faster. So it’s basically her & @samfromwendover.bsky.social , @adamchase.bsky.social and @thewheatgerm.bsky.social who made me run today’s HM - with The Layover 🐍, of course.

I ran my third half marathon today, 2 just by myself, 1 was a race. I did not run at all 1.5 years ago. Why am I doing this?!
A friend asked me to run with her once per week to have a chat w/o our kids. And I wanted to listen to The Layover on @nebula.tv without my little one interrupting me. //

I did a 21,1km thing today. It was my first half marathon. It was awesome. 🥳

Does DB sometimes suck? Yes.
Has it a really dense network, built on post-WW2 infrastructure that was not meant for this number of trains? Also yes.

I can travel from the small town where I live to the other random small town where I was born on public transit. It’s not all bad.

Hot take: women don’t need flowers but equal rights, treatment, opportunities, safety… all year long (and male allies supporting them to get there).

Do you mean if the baby was perceived as a menace (yes!)? Or the other way round? Our cats are still (after 5 years) very sceptical because our little one cried loud and a lot. But now they’re getting along as she can open doors for our cats and feed treats.
