Iron Lung (2026)

I'm super impressed by how great this was. I have minor nitpicks, like wishing Mark embodied his role a bit more in the first act, but overall it was a huge accomplishment for independent films. Andrew Hulshult killed it as usual, and the set and specifial effects were perfect.

Astro's Playroom
(100% Completion)

I only just got around to fully completing it, but it's such a fun little game that takes such great advantage of the dualsense and its unique features. Astro's Playroom reminds me of what I love about games like this while celebrating PlayStation's legacy

Every few years I've tried to play this game again and always get distracted by something near the end, and I'm so glad I finally buckled down and got through it. I knew I'd love this game, but I didn't realize just how many interesting and innovative ideas it was still hiding

Avatar: Fire and Ash (IMAX 3D)

The visuals were absolutely spectacular. Avatar continues to be the best showcase out there for 3D, and the high refresh rate proves effective in hightening the effect and reducing strain. It's just nice to see something of this scale that doesn't feel phoned in.

this is the first year I've listened to enough new music to do this, so I've been looking forward to putting this together :)

Zootopia 2

Not sure why this one was packed so full of movie references and quips. It actually took a pretty different direction from what I expected, and it still had great character acting and animation, so it was a good time overall.

National Lampoon Christmas Vacation

It sure was a Christmas comedy from 1989. Just one of those movies where everything goes wrong. It had a few good jokes, but it wasn't anything special.

Five Nights at Freddy's 2 (Movie)

A big improvement over the first movie, and I had a ton of fun watching how they decided to adapt thongs, despite it not really being a great movie. All of the animatronics look unbelievably great. It's all still very silly, but it never feels out-of-touch.

This is the best episode of distant lands, in my opinion. The characterization is fantastic.

One of the greatest finales of all time, in my opinion. It was much more controversial when it came out, but I think fionna and cake has since recontextualized the biggest offenders. I'll never forget pausing to identify everything in BMO's house

I will always wish we got more interactions between BMO and Ice King. Their chemistry is so good.

nauseating to watch. Adventure time manages to explore these themes better than I've seen anywhere else.

Soma

The story and themes of this game are great. All of the rules of its setting feel natural so quickly, and the art direction is hauntingly beautiful and unique. The protagonist drove me a little crazy by being dense as bricks, but I'll always be a sucker for Frictional's interaction mechanics.

This episode always makes me cry. Martin is such a complicated character, and it hurts my heart to see him trying so hard and doing so well, with no real closure as to why he's so remorseless in the current day. It's uncomfortable and frustrating.

Spirited Away

Just got the chance to finally watch it for the first time in theaters, and I see why it's so highly regarded. It's unbelievably creative, and flows more alike a painting. The concepts were so imaginative, but all felt natural after just a few minutes. It was all so beautiful.

This is the episode that changes everything. When I talk about AT, I'm mainly talking about the span of episodes from What Was Missing to Preboot. It's not that there's anything WRONG with this final era of the show, but the shift toward trying to wrap up a story gives it a different feel.

one of my favorite episodes. I love anything that goes into Jake's history, and expanding on Jake's kids and his relationship with them is something I'm always begging for more of

Fantastic, creative game that feels smooth as butter. Playing through it like 5 times really tested my patience at times, but I'd always rather a unique, creative game than a totally safe one. Definitely not like anything I've played before. Big fan of Kainé

OMG I MISSED THIS BUT CONGRATS

This is easily one of my top 5 favorite episodes, and one of the show's best. There's nothing else out there like it, and it's hard not to keep thinking about it years later. Absolutely a creative masterpiece.
