I've been seeing abbreviation for genres next to job posting as of recently in my local language. Women, men and an abbreviation I did not recognize.

I know it meant all other non-binary people, but couldn't figure out for good 20 min which word the abbreviation was for.

It was for the rest/other.

In my case I'd want to see a page or two anyway before committing.

And I see see how you'd want to get some feedback on tyour start. I often encounter cases were writers need to cut off a few of the initial chapters to get to the starting point that's interesting enough to suck the reader in.

You may want to search for alpha readers or critique partner (fellow writer) first than. Beta readers usually don't deal with first drafts but script that has been polished a bit.
I could still give it a look, but I'd need to know the sate of the book so I don't accidentally obliterate you 😅

I'm still processing, it's the first time I was there, present, helped with the birth where the result wasn't life but death.

It looked so big and healthy, flicked its tongue around lots and getting ready to make first breath with its nostrils while it was still alive...

At my parents house we had a calf which died during the birth. It was squeezed in the birth canal for a bit to long and it's heart stopped beating.

I'm devastated. 2 hours of work, the calf half out, obviously dead at this point. You've no will do pull anymore, but you have to, to save the cow.

Loved the comedy in Thor: Love and Thunder. But this felt a bit more of a Waititi movie than Thor movie.

The whole movie of Eternals was shot to show them all (and the world) as ethereal eternal beings. It's special kind of esthetic that MCU didn't show prior.

Also Gil is GOAT, they did him so bad for killing him off. Loved Jolie, but with no Gil I'm not sure I'm exited for Eternals 2.

Spider-Man made me believe that US has a really bad building construction strehnt. If a weight of two man falling from normal corridor sealing makes you fall several floors over.... That looks like paper strength to me.

Also a few thoughts form the past week.
I had to keep still the past week and the easiest way to do that was binge watch MCU. And boy oh boy...

I was sick over a week now. Fever constantly. I'll need some time to recover now but honestly this feels as good time as ever to start over.
A week or two doesn't make a difference, in the end it's action that matters.

The quality of your first draft does not represent the quality of the finished product. Far from it. Most first drafts are an incomprehensible mess. Quality shines in editing. Even a poorly-written draft can be polished into a diamond over time.

If you're a CEO, manager in similar position and people turn to you for answers...

delegate to someone who can present possible solutions (ie.designer), and make decision after looking at them.

DO NOT give instructions based on how YOU'd try to solve the problem if you had to do it yourself.

Regardless of how well items sell on a platform... a bad cover don't sale automatically.

A bad vs good cover on a platform with traffic means 10 sales vs 100 sales per day.

Guess my client is not interested in profit.

Mind you, there were plenty of other visually more appealing options presented but top dog just said fuck it and do the easiest MSpaint job possible and call it done.

And one of the first things I did with them is establish importance of visual cues on book cover.
