Taking time while I have a few mins at a conference to read a manuscript from my slush pile, & I’m completely OBSESSED in a way I never have been before. I love everything I take on, but this one??? I’m OBSESSED. It has every part of me. One of the best things I’ve read this year, published or not.

My daughter’s video absolutely broke my heart this morning. Rest in Peace, Sweet Jet-Jet. I think losing her hurts more than all of my dogs combined.

Well…yesterday sucked. It was my birthday, but we spent the whole day grieving, myself included. My adult daughter’s beloved dog, Jet, passed away suddenly. She was only 11. She was such a good dog & was my daughter’s rock through some really bad years. Gonna miss that sweet girl!

It’s “haunting” and even a bit lyrical. It follows the mystery of 2 toddlers, same age and same city but from different backgrounds who both go missing on the same day. One was found and returned to one of the families, but was the right child returned to the right family? Looking back 90 years.
