I also have another shade of doll skin that I cut from the same pattern here, so Ill be doing another colorway of this style (I just love making dolls in 2s...). Ill probably wind up mirroring the fabrics (blue hat, starry body). I swear I will be selling my dolls some day xD I just get stuck on

This whole plush design was kind of an accident, I was practicing making various parts/testing patterns and wound up with 1 set of matching arms and 1 completed leg/foot, so I finished up 1 more leg and matched them all with this head. I realized I could combine these parts in a similar way to

Im perpetually experimenting when i sew, i didnt plan to finish this doll this way, but it worked out pretty good. Ill be adding some ruffles around the neck, wrist, and ankles. I have the hat to add, and have to embroider the face. #dollmaking #sewing

I should have taken before pics but im so bad at that. The foam pad under the old terrible cover was so thin that barely pulling at it made it rip to shreds. Foam tends to degrade anyway so i went for two layers of fleece underneath instead. Another good stash buster.

Lovely thrifted 100% cotton fabric...that i didnt realize had a bunch of stains til i inspected it closer at home :'( but that just meant it was the perfect fabric in my stash to use for this project.
