Had a bit of rolling cold and flu for past week or two but finally got back to some hobby and finished off a unit of jade warriors and a second cannon for my Cathay.

Really happy with how the army is shaping up.

Thank you! I primed the bases with Colour Forge Hyrax Brown, then base coated with a thin layer of Pro Acryl Burnt Orange. The rocky bits are picked out in Pro Acryl Mahogany then the whole base is drybrushed with GW Karak Stone.

Final step is a light dusting of Vallejo Brown Iron Oxide pigment.

Bit of a break from Old World minis, knocked out the first unit for a new White Scars heresy army.

These end up a bit of a chore, but that’s the first unit of Jade Lancers done.

Non-hobby related update. 6 months ago I made a few big health and lifestyle changes. As of today I’ve now lost 45kg (7 stone) in weight.

I still have a long way to go and joint pain is kicking my ass as I try to be more active. But feeling very positive and filled with motivation.

Just finished off a Grand Cannon for my Cathay army. Gonna tackle first 5 lancers next.

Just finished off the first rank of my first Grand Cathay unit. Really happy with how these have turned out. Will be slow going to finish the army but want to try and maintain this standard.

At the NIGT today, first time I’ve got to play in a proper GT instead of running one since 2019.

Had my 3D printer just over a month now. Should have bought one years ago. Finished painting up first set of new terrain I’ve done for Expldoding Dice

Other than the shaman everything is 3D printed. The sculpts are from Avatars of War. I’ve got a bunch of their boar boys, chariots and wyverns too.

I’ve just been failing to score battle tactics so I don’t need to track them.

Got my Black Orc BSB on chariot finished along with some Wolf chariots for my Old World Nomadic Waaagh list. Some boar boys on the table this week before the new Cathay stuff distracts me.
