Good news but it looks like it's going to be down to users to report it though
Interesting move. Though I doubt it'll have much effect if they're relying on listeners to report it.
Having AI generated cover art is a bit of a giveaway & a good indication of music to avoid in any case.
In the meantime Bandcamp is awash with AI slop.
Artists, I'm going to assume that you've not even bothered to write the music yourself if you've got crappy AI generated cover art.
Bandcamp needs a filter for this garbage though.

I'd like to have words with the genius who came up with the idea of making everything in PCs freaking blackπ€¬
Trying to plug black components into a black mb in a black case is about as easy as trying to pilot Hotblack Desiato's stuntship.
True but he's just saying it for likes. He probably doesn't even believe what he's saying.
Boris is so money orientated that I'm sure he'd kiss Putin's arse if enough coin was offered.
On the app click the 3 bars on the top lh side, which brings up the menu with your profile, settings, etc.
Then select the 'Chat' icon & '+' to add someone to send them a DM.
I think Boris' track record is sufficient enough to judge that we can't trust a single word he utters.
Gutted to hear of the death of J.Saul Kane.
Along with artists like Eon, MBM & RSW, Jonathan's mix of samples & electronics was an inspiration.
Going to spend the next few days ploughing through this pile. RIP
Compilations that shaped your music taste. Go!
Anyone on here had any experience of using online music distribution services, in particular CD Baby, Too Lost, Tune Core? Or any other recommendations, besides Bandcamp?
As a sweeping statement it's certainly problematic, & they're probably generalising hugely.
I do get what they're talking about though. It would also depend on the type of music, the setting, even what it's played on (music played through tinny phone speakers pretty annoying).
I've had batches of cider where all the tannins/colour dropped out & it looked & tasted like wine.
I recently made an IPA with some Vics Secret hops I was given which was insanely bitter. Left it a month or so & now it's a lot more drinkable.
There is a higher risk of producing meth by distilling fruit but it's negligible in my experience.
So long as you're discreet & don't start selling the stuff the taxman won't bother you.
If your cider isn't that drinkable you could always just try leaving it a few months & I'm sure it will improve!
You could always make apple brandy from it, either by freeze distilling or the traditional method. You can also barrel age the spirit by adding some oak bbq chips that have been lightly toasted in the oven.
In my experience the results are well worth the effortπ
I've been making cider for a few years now. Best investment I made was to buy a sink waste disposal to scratt the apples.
After that I just let nature take its course & let the natural yeast ferment the juice.
