06.12.2025 17:49 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I like ellipsus for the lack of AI and all, but it's not as feature-rich as Google Docs or One Note.
No dedicated app yet (they're working on it) but mobile browser/web browser does decent so long as you keep an eye on your sync status (and honestly their discord help is decent).
I have such a big soft spot for my Stagmomantis Limbata in there, simple green beans. Lovely little native US mantises.
Theyβre also flighty and amazingly dramatic. I love them as a ref species for Wedge.
Stagmomantis Limbata female adult βNewarkβ doing a threat display, very green girl mantis with short yellow wings out.
Stagmomantis Limbata adult female βDenverβ with her lunch visible as a dark spot in her system still due to lighting and just chilling on my hand.
And two of my other females!

Four of my six adult molts this month!
17.11.2025 05:20 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Waterproof pet blankets are on our bed and futon anyways due to when we had our elderly dog - can be tricky to wash but helped protect things and have a barrier. Having a few to rotate was big for us.
17.11.2025 05:11 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Iβve never seen feeding them on the bed as a solution - but we have a (neutered long before he joined us) orange male who sometimes gets realβ¦realβ¦ into things that smell like us.
All laundry has to be kept out of his reach and heβs ruined a few sweaters.
Pullman is also solidly against labeling things as "kids books", iirc. Especially his own - books for everyone.
Man I read these when they came out, but I need a reread so I can get them in front of my nephews and niece at the right time.
Second baby is a bit like "I kinda..wanted a snack...."

04.11.2025 15:24 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I'm lucky in that my migraines seem to be primarily (though not exclusively) related to POTS reaction to peri-menopause issues.
We're hoping that it'll let up enough to see about reducing the preventative meds afterwards.
Still stuck with the rest of my hEDS/MCAS/POTS + ADHD genetic combo tho.
If sheβs got a heating pad, she may stick around better.
Had a spoiled barn cat who only liked a total of three people in her life who would sit on hers for days.
She retired from barn life at six years old to come be an apt cat with me, she never looked back.
Female pseudocreobotra wahlbergi sub-adult on my finger - she is very small. You can see her developing wingbuds and the white/green color with yellow highlights. She has purple eyes and very tiny pseudopupils.
sub adult alert!

Good way to start the day.

Best ending there.
This is giving me the reminder that I need to work on my lines again!
I was looking over some of my older work and my recent pencil work compared to my recent swap to mostly digital, and that's what it is I'm running into in my pre-sketches.
We are thrilled to announce that our NEW Large Language Model will be released on 11.18.25.

Ulthar - a female subadult psuedocreobotra whalbergi - spreading her arms out wide in a big threat display despite being able to stand on my fingertip. I gave a beetle in the enclosure on the shelf below hers a carrot.
J.P. - a Popa Spurca - holding a water droplet like an ear of corn while standing on my finger.
Dino - a Popa Spurca female - completely zonked asleep on her stick with her face in her elbows and her raptorials still pointed upward.
Some of my mantis friends while I get names together for the green beans.
Kadath, Ulthar, St Johnβs Park, and Dinosaur State Park.
Iβve also got some beetles.
As of this morning I finally have my ref species here for Wedge. And they are killing me with their faces.

Plus the Steam fall sale starts in 3 days and there might be a discount on the Decks.

Ok, but what kind of suit, because the guy could make a diving suit look good.
25.09.2025 16:35 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A male Popa Spurca molting from the top of a little loglike stick, head down, unable to stretch his leggies out properly and let them dry. They don't have much for braincells in there and pick amazingly stupid places to molt. If I had not intervened he probably would have not made it.
Same male Popa Spurca, having had the stick moved/rotated and his old exoskeleton taped to it so he could dry properly. Dumb fuck managed to live and dried properly to molt again due to me intervening. Remember, bugs go for quantity for a reason!
Two molts ago my other one, JP tried to molt....uh... off the top of this stick when he had a perfectly good spot up top. He fortunately did it during the day so I was able to rotate him, tape his old exo to the stick and save him from himself. I'm hoping he'll start his molt before bed here.
22.09.2025 00:45 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Popa Spurca female, "Dino" in the process of molting. She is hanging from her old exoskeleton on a branch while her legs are drying.
I've been watching these dumbasses try to get themselves set up to molt for like three-four days now, so I turned their lights off early tonight and Dino immediately took the opportunity.
Still a fascinating and worrying state to watch them go through. They're amazing at messing it up.
I've watched art community collapse after art community collapse and I wish I had the ability to just go to a space that wasn't a fan-space for one artist and just post my stupid OC art and see others.
I'm relying on that joy to keep the spirits up.
Upcoming guidelines are an absolute Tumblr-level headache but now with muddled rules that will likely be unevenly applied.
This has been an exhausting year and we're only at about the 3/4ths mark.
And if any of us are writing/drawing stories that might have to do with situations of dubious/non-consent as a plot point are just SOL?
One of the biggest comics to hit pop-culture had a LOT to do specifically with those topics.
