Their illegal Iran war is killing Iranian civilians, killing U.S. service members, sparking a regional war, knee-capping global trade & fueling inflation — all without a new government in Iran.
This administration is the most incompetent & dishonest in recent memory — perhaps ever.
He slashed taxes for the wealthy & corporations & tried to make up that revenue with a tax on consumers via tariff wars. That was illegal, so he’s now using the firehose method of finding every chaotic way to raise tariff revenue.
All to the harm of the United States & those who live here.

The foster-care-to-homelessness pipeline is a policy choice and a moral failure. At 78 Haight, we’re finally choosing differently.
It was never just about kids. Their goal is to eliminate trans people entirely. We won’t let them get away with it. We will have trans folks’ backs.
My opponent is using his vast personal wealth to try to buy a seat in Congress. I’m not worth hundreds of millions like he is, but what I do have is decades of real experience delivering for San Francisco. Being hyper-rich can buy you a lot of things, but it shouldn’t be able to buy you an election.
Depicting LGBTQ people in films isn’t “therapy.” It’s depicting the actual real world, where LGBTQ people exist & have always existed.
This move is part of the broader movement to erase LGBTQ people from many aspects of life.
We’re part of the real world. We’re not going anywhere.
ICE’s private prison gulags get much less focus than its brutal street violence.
That must change. Let’s shut down these gulags & as we did in California, ban private prisons nationally.
We also need accountability. My No Kings Act authorizes damages lawsuits. We need that nationally.
He wants Congress to authorize funding for a war for which he didn’t bother to go to Congress for actual authorization.
The answer is no.
The party that lied its way into office by promising peace & lower costs has triggered a growing regional war, is spiking costs & continues to prop up craven shitheads like Lindsey Graham.

Trump is requiring CA to cancel the commercial driver’s licenses of 13,000 people here legally with federal work authorization. That’s 13,000 people’s livelihoods & 13,000 people who won’t be performing an essential job in our economy. This petty act is deeply harmful. We’ll continue to fight it.
Trump’s illegal war in Iran is increasing people’s cost of living. Gas prices are up. Mortgage rates are up.
And the Republican Congress, as usual, is refusing to do anything about it. They continue to give Trump a blank check to do whatever he wants for his own benefit.

So much for that grift. Today 52 of 53 Republican Senators opposed limiting Trump’s ability to wage this illegal war.
Trump isn’t waging this war for Iranians or Americans. He’s doing it for himself.
The Board of Supervisors voted 11-0 to support our bill to help SF break up with PG&E.
Over time PG&E slipped poison pills into CA’s eminent domain law to make it harder to form a publicly owned utility. SB 875 removes those poison pills.
SF deserves a fair process as it moves toward public power.
You unleashed DOGE to destroy State Department capacity & this is the result. Total incompetence & Americans are paying the price. In coming years, we’ll see more & more messes like this across the federal government due to agencies having been gutted by DOGE.
I’ve been riding Muni, BART & Caltrain since 1997. Transit is San Francisco’s backbone. We must never take these systems for granted & I’ve fought hard to fund them & make them better.
I’ll continue that fight in Congress.

As Trump leads us into a chaotic regional war in the Middle East for which he has no plan, let’s not forget he’s also:
Raising people’s costs
Throwing people off health care & food assistance
Slashing science funding
Destroying the clean energy industry
Mass deporting people
Forcing teachers to out LGBTQ students to their parents puts kids’ lives at risk. Some will die. Some will get kicked out & become homeless. Some will be sent to conversion therapy.
The choice to come out to one’s parents belongs only to the kid & is no one else’s damn business.
Trump just triggered a broadening regional war in the Middle East & only after doing so & after the airports closed down, tells Americans to book commercial flights to come back to the U.S.
This inept regime has no plan. It’s all shoot from the hip. So many will pay the price.
