This Cold Winter, Love Is a Superpower There are great days and terrible days in history, days a nation or world changed, that you remember forever. For me that's the fall of the Berlin Wall, the rise of the Zapatistas, 9/11, Hurricane Kat...

For many in the Trump regime it seems incomprehensible or a scam of sorts that those not categorically under attack by ICE are so committed to solidarity with their neighbors who are, and thereby to universal human rights, to standing up on principle, and will risk their lives to do so.....

Support Calvary Food Shelf: Emergency Response Fundraiser on GiveMN Help us respond to urgent community needs

Hey folks Calvary Food Shelf has been helping out people in Minneapolis for 30 years, and now they’re ramping up to meet the crisis, including doing home deliveries so people don’t have to risk going out.

They’re just over halfway to their current goal—let’s get them all the way, shall we?

We are in fact DESPERATE for winter coats, waterproof gloves, and good boots. We get so many wonderful donations but it is so cold and the numbers of unhoused unsheltered people are going up at the absolute worst time for it, and we run out of coats weekly.

I may be tired and a little hoarse, but as I said again and again on the Senate floor, this is a moment where we cannot afford to be silent, when we must speak up.

Today, around ten thousand people gathered at Tesla showrooms across 50 states and internationally to protest Elon Musk (DOGE). We encourage everyone to join again next Saturday, March 8th, with more events planned.

New MSNBC Bloodbath of Non-White Anchors After Joy Reid Forced Out Jonathan Capehart, Katie Phang, and Ayman Mohyeldin have all lost their shows.

Plus Joy and Lester Holt? Looks like the slide deck of a Power Point presentation at an employment discrimination webinar. Not a good look @msnbc.com

Yosemite halts camping reservations, with no timetable for their return Yosemite halts camping reservations, with no timetable for their return at a time when federal employees are being laid off

Want to go visit the national parks this year?
Sorry.
The reservation system is shut down, EMT personnel are gone, so don't get hurt or lost. No one can clean the bathrooms or cabins, so they'll be closed. Rangers are fired.

JUST IN: Another medical horror story in an affidavit from a USAID employee stationed overseas. Says his pregnant wife was not medevac-ed for emergency health care because of directives from DC. Took intervention of a U.S. senator to reverse — but was too late. s3.documentcloud.org/documents/25...

U.S. Park Service Strikes Transgender References From Stonewall Website The “T” was removed in references to L.G.B.T.Q.+ on the official site for the Greenwich Village monument, which marks a milestone in the fight for gay rights. Later, the Q+ also disappeared.

Erasing our history won't erase us.

Transgender people have always been here — and we always will be.

The removal of a transgender reference from the National Park Service’s Stonewall website wasn’t done by NPS staff. Elon, care to elaborate?

Recall of USAID’s global workforce causes havoc and distress USAID employees stationed overseas are struggling to navigate the sudden upheaval, having received little clear information from the Trump administration.

“We’ve seen this sort of thing happen in evacuations of war zones,” one official said. “I just can’t believe we’re doing it for the flippant kind of political pageantry that this administration seems to be doing it for.”
