I want to buy an old blockbuster video location, restore it to its glory days, and instead of stocking it with video, fill it with books. Particularly genre books.

And for the record, no I didn’t “help” the store out by putting the book into a more visible location. Not saying I wouldn’t, or haven’t done that. 😬 But not today! It was already there. was walking by and almost didn’t stop until I saw it. 😆
I can’t tell you how much joy I take in finding books from writers that I know at airports. It doesn’t matter if it’s the first time I have found a book of theirs or if they are a regular rotation, it’s always fun to see their work find a bigger audience.

Will 2025 be the year I start the writing discipline? Who knows. But to be honest I am not rushing it. I have much more genre to read—specifically chosen to learn style, pacing, world building, and character development—before I feel comfortable molding my own literary clay.

Thanks! I found it on Amazon and was disappointed at first that I had to build it from a kit, but turned out I had a lot of fun doing it. Same with the bookends.

My Dark Christmas collection is growing. I have a nice edition of Charles Dicken’s A Christmas Carol somewhere that will go up when I find it. I really like that UK edition of NOS4R2 (aka NOS4A2).
