Pokopia has that magical Nintendo thing that I think is a result of institutional knowledge and tons of playtesting, but to the player results in a feeling of being deeply and truly known and anticipated as a human animal, in all of your weird inchoate wants and needs.
Happy Friday 13th! Hope your day is going better than this guy's.
Let's goooo

Hard to express how grateful I am to have met and now have the privilege to work with JC!! The world would look a lot better with more JCs around
If we had to #TeaseYaGame for The Knightling, the original idea literally came from a one-sentence shower thought about "a knight with a shield instead of a sword" and we made that into a whole game which you can now play on Steam, Xbox, and Ps5!

Hoppers dominated at the box office with the biggest opening for an original animated movie since Coco in 2017, with $46 million. Maggie Gyllenhaal's The Bride bombed with just $7.2 million. And did Scream 7 have a 72% drop? You bet it did

Does a video game aimed at a younger audience deserve less recognition than their more mature counterparts? It certainly seems that way, but it shouldn't.
The Knightling has a juvenile vibe, but it's still a rich open world with heart.
looking at the GDC talks for this year and this kinda sums it up, huh
Accidentally hit the soft reset ABXY combination in LeafGreen and lost 2.5 hours of gameplay. Can't say that I'll play any more now, what an astonishing feature to have on by default

In 2019, I created #WhatAGameDevLooksLike after I was stopped by security 3(!!) times while picking up my speaker badge. I’m a small Asian woman with pink hair, and I guess I didn’t visually meet their expectations of a speaker.
Ironically, I was at GDC to speak about inclusive studio cultures. 🫠
Oh shiiiii, that's a welcome surprise!
Can't believe we fell for it but we're also enjoying the fall
This is amazing.

Not sure why NL got Marty Supreme only this month, but glad I got to see it in cinema yesterday! Such energy, what an amazing movie

A shocking end for a well-respected studio.
