There’s no doubt his father was a horrible man & his mother not a lot better but a lot of us had a rough childhood & dealt with it. I didn’t mean to imply that you were sympathetic but I see now how it may have sounded that way and I apologize if it did. Sometimes words alone don’t translate well.

He’s had decades to work it out in therapy. He gets no sympathy from me. The whole family is messed up.

He looks like death warmed over.
