I welcome differing opinions. Just not the bat-shit crazy ones please.

I'm flying for the 3rd time in a week in the morning, heading back to Cairns to spread Veti's ashes finally so I'm going to take you post to heart and hope that today (it's just after midnight here) is going to be smooth and great. Thank you xx

The best thing I ever did was uninstall twitter/X. I kept it for too long, thinking it'd be fun to go back now and then to see how the fires were spreading. It wasn't and I am so glad it is now gone for good for me.

As a gen-x loaded with lead Dan I'd like to put forward the theory that all the pre-80's lead exposure has given me just the right amount of toxic exposure to make me resilient enough to be carefree about the future (and killed enough brain cells to so i don't realise how ridiculous that theory is)

I'm so glad of that ❤️

Lots of thoughts on his line of reasoning or justification, but I guess in the end, it comes down to the individual. There are a lot of similarities in addictive behaviours, but still, everyone's journey is their own.

I swear, though, the amount of hate you got when you would say anything criticising Sony/Playstation was mind-blowing

I'm still waiting for my CCP/Sony cheques dammit Alex

My theory was that you posted on so many broad and diverse subjects that you never appealed to a niche. Always loved your tweets though, so glad you are here.

If history tells us anything it's that a better world is always possible, its just that we have to go back through hard times to get there. People have this screwed up ability to just flat out ignore history

Same. Especially when they don't know, they just be themselves and its perfect.

We've all been raised on TV, movies, books where the bad guys always get their deserved comeuppance. I hate it but his entire life nothing has happened to him & I really believe now that nothing will, until he dies. In real life assholes and sociopaths can never suffer consequences unfortunately.

I'll probably still observe more than I interact but there is 100% more chance if I want to reply or post something that I will. So refreshing.

I just realised something. On X I'd often think of a response, then, after realising the deluge of bots and hate it would likely elicit would just move on. I don't even give it a second thought on on Bluesky.

"Survival is a possibility" feels like the most optimistic message I have heard all week.

It is so damn good seeing many of the people i used to follow here now!

The terrifying thing is that there are so many "patriots" that would immediately ditch their "beliefs" and be 100 percent on board with this. Some people want freedom but are then terrified if they are not told what to do or think.

Apoplectic with rage would be a valid feeling in that circumstance.
How did millions of people think that this is the example we want our leaders to embody? The lesson we want our young children to learn?

Perplexed. But realisating that the world is doomed to never learn from history because most people are either to young to remember, or assume they will be spared the worst by the billionaires that run the county because "I voted for them, I'll be spared". Power only saves & protects the powerful.

As an Australian it just boggles my mind. Each & every single thing he did should have been political suicide. I just can't believe the "culture war" got so bad that people will knowingly vote for a sociopath, even when it is clearly to the detriment to their own lives just to "own the libs".
