I really thought George W Bush was going to be dumbest president of my lifetime. Boy was I wrong.

I get why/that people say this, but dont' underestimate this:

all other social networks are invested in making sure that posts that link to journalism remain buried, or at least never go viral.

BlueSky doesn't do that. That makes it very valuable to a ton of newsrooms righ tnow.

The NBA media analysis that the Cam Johnson-for-Michael Porter Jr. trade was better for Denver was not really based on stats or results. It was based on the media not liking Porter's eye test game or persona, and projecting good things onto Johnson that didn't exist in reality.

Even bigger when you consider that the Wolves play the Nuggets today and one of them has to lose.

If we can just take care of these three next games we might have some three seed cushion going into facing the Spurs.

Pretty shocking the Rockets have maintained a top ten offense this long.

Playing the Wizards next should help this.

They really just need to clean up their clutch numbers and we might have something.

Easier said than done I know.

Crockett is up in five polls since the new year.

Talarico is up in four polls since the new year.

That is about as close to a jump ball as you can get in politics.

The only safe bet is that it's probably going to a run-off.

On the one hand, the presidency is a fundamentally broken institution.

On the other hand, Congress is a fundamentally broken institution.

On the third hand, the Supreme Court is a fundamentally broken institution.

Good start for the Rockets, offense looks pretty unstoppable right now with Reed starting.

Agreed, Iran is bigger and more complex in every way imaginable than Iraq. If this is a prolonged war, it will be much, much worse than the second Iraq war, which was probably the biggest foreign policy boondoggle in American history.

This is starting lineup I want so we will see how it goes. Still bummed that it took a Bari injury to make it happen.

Where Are They Now?: The Pundits Who Got Iraq Wrong One would think that cheering the U.S. into war in Iraq would have been a career-destroying mistake. Alas...

Back in 2023, for the 20th anniversary of the war in Iraq, I did a "where are they now?" article about the pundits who cheered on the U.S. invasion www.readtpa.com/p/where-are-...

When I was watching basketball in the 90s and 00s, there was just a lot more empathy from the media when a guy was playing injured.

Today's media, especially if they don't like the guy, acts like it never happened.

27.02.2026 15:11 — 👍 1    🔁 1    💬 0    📌 0

The media are whining about the 65-game-played rule for awards, or how they treat a guy like Harden, who played through injury in that Brooklyn series, but it's still a "Playoff choke"

Makes them complaing about tanking or "I bought a ticket to the game and didn't see x" fall flat.
