Feels a little weird to hear @caseynewton.bsky.social on #Decoder instead of #HardFork but it's a great episode!

Haha this just happened to me this morning. I had the windows open because it was such a nice day and quickly had to run around the house closing windows.

Yep. Even a summary or some way for us to see what has happened. Like this month we closed x ideas.

I tell this to Microsoft folks all the time. If you want users to use the Feedback site, you need to show them that it leads to something. Tie features to ideas (link in the blog) and leverage AI to group related items together so the feedback site doesn't become a mess.

Reminds me of a question that @brento.bsky.social recently had on Office Hours about SQL Server being called "legacy"

Paginated Report templates One place where paginated reports still have a robust use case are for formatted reports such as invoices or letters. It would be nice if the web designer for paginated reports had a simple interface ...

Help make paginated reports 1st class again. Here's one idea where #MSFabric could score a quick win in the new web view. Please vote!

I know I tell you all the time but I mean it. You have the unique ability to talk to so many groups of people without making any of them feel dumb. Keep up the good work.

Hey @itsnotaboutthecell.com , let me ask one of the most important questions, is #PowerPinny making the trip to Vegas?

Hey @brento.bsky.social, will we see you around FabCon since it is in Vegas?

In an ideal world I could stick with the whole One lake/One copy of the data principle and shortcut data from lakehouses into a warehouse. Last I saw you could only copy data into the warehouse. We use a medallion architecture and in an ideal world we could use both LH and WH interchangeably across

Until warehouses use shortcuts, I just can't justify using them.

Sad I won't be able to make it this year! Y'all have fun and hopefully I can catch up at FabCon!

Just curious, are you hearing real feedback that customers want more Copilot or this being driven from up above?

I might be the lonely person that used it daily. As long as VS Code does similar things all will be well.

Pair that with homemade chips and you got a killer duo.

I collapse them and then when I come back they are wide open again. It would be great if they had an option to stay open or collapsed.

Our medallion architecture is built across workspaces so for it to be useful we need to designate different tasks to different workspaces.

I hate them! Ok, maybe that's a little strong but the UI is obnoxious always force opening and blocking half the screen, whether you use them or not.

And they don't work across workspaces.
