Now that life is finally calming down for me, I can get back to working on this project.
Made some prelim fur for the sleeves today and did a normal transfer. Probably not the best method for stylized fur, but it works.
Fellow #3dcharacter artists, I would love to hear your favored techniques.

Have you tried editing the normals to get the look you want? Or doing a normals transfer from two separated versions of the meshes?

There's a blender addon called "Abnormal" that many artists use for editing normals on stylized characters.

I think that's just enough time to sculpt a bust for each of your favorite players. 🤔

Finished the prelims for the dog ears/tail, glasses, and hat. Also added in some temp colors for readability.
Clothes are still heavily wip, but its nice to see the new concept beginning to come together. 😊

I explain to my fellow 3d artist the importance of researching what hashtags work the best on Bluesky, because many of the old tags we used on twitter seem to not work as well for finding engagement. Also, I note I used alt text in my example picture.

From what I've found, it's tags that make the most difference when posting 3d art.

Traditional tags (3DCG and b3d) didn't do so well for me here, but for some reason I got the most engagement I've ever gotten on a post on either site with these.

It could have been wording/alt text/post timing too

I think I finally got a good silhouette to the hair and added a cute little beret hat. Still need to add in the detail hair strands, but I can move onto her outfit for the time being.

Looking forward to outfit testing cause I have so many ideas I want to try! 😄

As artists, I think we're all struggling with that feeling on some level, but sometimes you just have to trust the process and keep moving. Can't wait to see what you're cooking next.

Try adding the Gain filter to the OBS source that's having issues.

Been working on the block out of the hair for a redesign/ new outfit for Koban, getting close to the basic shapes I'm looking for.
Really trying to get the overall silhouette to pop before I move onto the finer details.
