So glad I found Date Everything last year dude. God bless Eddie and Volt for enticing me enough to give it a try just for them and then falling in love with Skylar and the writing and the vibe of it instantly. I cant wait to see where it goes and what content we'll get from it~

I'll still play kh4 and divorce the two from their VAs and love the characters, but its sad I even have to. Its sad two of my biggest comfort characters have been brought to life by people who would choose what they did.

And thank him for bringing that to life. For letting me experience that with him. I just....that's gone now. Just like Axel/Lea unless he gets recast. 2 of my top 3 characters. Literally 2 of my top 3. This sucks.

I hoped to meet him someday. I hoped to tell him how much his growth was important to me. How darkness and trauma can truly make you feel like you lose yourself and then finding that strencgth to embrace it but not let it be all that you are is just so important to me.

David also apparently made a statement echoing this but I cant find it. If someone can lemme know. But suffice it to say I dont think I can comfortably support him anymore. And it sucks. Riku has genuinely gotten me through some of the hardest times in my life.

So TF made a statement and its BAD. No screenshots for proof, downplaying EVERYTHING, no apology for what hes brought to David's door, no accountability, no concern for the victim. I dont think Ive seen a worse google doc response in my LIFE dude.

What I mind is how THAT SECT treats him and his arc as being only and all about Sora 24/7, when his character file story literally basically spells out he's trying to grow *past that* and he's made so much progress.

Kh is literally how I make friends. Its been a comfort through the worst times in my life. Days kept me from ideation in middleschool (no seriously). I started creative writimg because of Xion. I dont mind that Riku speaks to ppl & helps them on their journeys. I love it. He's helped me so much.

And dear god did it erase what little Kairi has been given so far. I miss KH1 Kairi every day. I saw her a bit in 0.2 BBS and then she vanished again. I miss my daughter tails. I miss her a lot.

It undermined Riku's growth through acceptance of his trauma. It undermined Sora's flaws and his downfalls which we still havent properly addressed btw (FOR THE LOVE OF MICHEAL MOUSE BOY STOP SELF SACRIFICING YOU MATTER YOU MATTER AAAAA)

When I saw said theory you mention I cant lie I laughed at it. Because that's just...not how writing works. But then when I saw it swept the fandom I was so disappointed and upset and ashamed. Not b/c it was SR, but because it undermines literally all thematic elements in the series to make SR work.

but the versions we meet and follow past kh1 just never felt romantic to me. Especially thabks to chain of memories and the context of that. And Ive genuinely loved Rikunami for years before kh3 because of re-watching chain of memories and the new scenes in kh2 and the novels.

Also Akusai/Leaisa is literally how me and my close to 10 year best friend bonded and grew close. I own the zine. Look at my pfp. When a mlm ship hits right it hits RIGHT!

But SR never did. It just didnt. I was open to it and I do genuinely love them in the context of Re:coded-

Good lord Im so glad someone said it. Ive been called a homophobe before for loving Rikunami and genuinely seeing and loving the writing on the wall for them. Fun fact: my favorite Sora ship is Sora and Roxas. Sokai is cute and canon it just doesnt grab me by the throat like Soroku.

Good news. It's not him. Just the scum he unfortunately trusts not telling him the entire story.

They've earned his trust and had their own controversies for being petty and rude enough that they can make this look like so much less than it is.

Its just a dofferent VERSION of Cinderella and every now and then you hear little bits of the original's sountrack or a little visual easter egg or a name or something

In other words all of the rest of them suck but Cinderella was genuinely good and deserves to be seen because its more of a loveletter with little references to the 1950s abimated film than an actual remake

Date Everything may not ever let you touch grass, but...in some ways it was the grass touching I needed.

So if you will permit me, I think until we get some serious news and hell even after at least in part...this is just who I am. I'm still Tay~ I still would lay down my life for Namine and Aerith still gets fairy wings in my head, but...I'm a Tay with a way better perspective on things I think.

It's a gem and it really hit me in life when I needed it most. I needed to find joy again. The kh and ff7 fandoms seriously burned me out for awhile because of just how *volatile* they are. And sure, every fandom has its issues but Ive yet to see someone doxxed or harassed off a platform for DE.

Eddie&Volt here are indeed my faves but I ended up ranking all of my faves in order, and didnt actively dislike a character until #93. Out of over 100. Thats how good the writing is. And theres so many FF vas and anime vas and vas from our fave cartoons and other games.

I miss Kingdom Hearts. But...I miss it less now that I have Date Everything. DE is kinda everything I really and truly adore about KH (characters, writing, sincerity and silliness shaking hands and playing patty-cake) but in a super cozy no pressure no rush shell that I never knew I needed so much.

I love final fantasy. I love final fantasy 7. I love the "fanservice". Im the fan being serviced. I look forward to the end of the remake trilogy. I cant wait to see what the devs' true creative visions are. I'll weep when some retire. I'll treasure what they gave to us.

Crystalmemries was truly not the best version of me. There are indeed things i said in the ff7 fandom i regret though even then I grant myself grace that it's nothing I cant forgive myself for & grow from. But going through ff as a whole & finding DE & just detaching from that space was eye opening.
