I don’t trust this leadership structure to make basically any trade/hire/draft. If they don’t wind up with an obvious top 3 pick in 2026, it’s not worth prioritizing giving them a pick to use.

Good player now
Young promising player
Premium pick this/next year
High volume of distant draft picks

Any offer is two of these. Just hope the Bucks are offered and take whatever arrangement you want.

On Giannis: Bucks should feel little urgency to trade him this season for anything less than a haul.

Siakam got four firsts with a year left on his deal and a handshake on an extension.

If Bucks ownership doesn’t trust this FO to draft/hire, more reason to let the next regime make important calls.

For a team that has its own firsts to tank with already, additional late firsts are great for flexibility. But the Bucks don’t even have that.

Would be depressing if it’s the Knicks package and we become an eight-seed-or-bust team again.
