Just finished a reread of the 90’s volume of Superboy. Karl Kesel and Tom Grummett really did a helluva job on this book in giving The Kid a phenomenal supporting cast; both in the Hawaii and Cadmus eras.
(Killing Tana though was not great.)
It has also dawned on me that HDTGM hosts debut in books with ‘Astonishing’ in the title.

Just finished the BPRD omnis. I did not expect the level of mass death that would occur in these. I’ve been conditioned by superhero books (and maybe the Hellboy movies) that things have a status quo and I should’ve learned from the Hellboy omnis that this wouldn’t be the case. These books rocked.

Glad to have now read the later Stan/Jack issues, the short Roy Thomas run that followed, then Englehart, and Simonson’s tenures. Simonson’s run was way funnier than I had anticpated. Probably a favorite of the stuff I was reading for the first time.
Unlimited stunk though. (2/2)
I have now finished Vol. 1 of Fantastic Four, along with some annuals and the short lived FF Unlimited. Had only read some of the early Stan & Jack issues, the Byrne run and DeFalco/Ryan prior to this. (1/2)

Watching Expendables 3 for the first time tonight (even though I thought I’d already seen it and was mistakenly thinking of #2). And while this movie is pretty bad, it would have been better if Antonio Banderas’ character had been in it from minute one.
He’s playing Puss In Boots as a mercenary!
