Yeah, hell even Kink.com typically show before and after interviews to show that the filmed scene was consensual (and I obviously can’t speak to that being airtight but it’s at least implemented).

Ooft those are good points, especially about the written part at the end, that really takes away any reasonable doubt. I’m realising with pretty much all mainstream BDSM-centric movies I mentally add consent/negotiation scenes to make them palatable 🙃.

That’s so so fair, and completely valid! In my head I added the consent chats/negotiation in the unseen parts. It would be so good to see a BDSM movie actually show those aspects 😒

Finished my first watch of #BreakingBad last night. Fully intend to watch Better Call Saul next but am going to need some processing time 🫨

Which is all to say, these are some examples of ways disability can just *happen*! No one is immune, life is freaky, disability rights and supports affect us all.

Similarly, I used to be able to do standing retail shifts. Then in 2022 I broke both of my feet in a freak accident. Standing for extended periods isn’t an option anymore, even walking too much can result in exacerbated pain and not being able to put weight on the worse foot.

I was a 22yr old who could work full-time, go to the gym and then go out to socialise on a whim. Then I caught glandular fever and it was like a switch was flipped - chronic pain, chronic fatigue, gut issues, fibromyalgia, etc.
