I wouldn’t say they need to be dropped, they can still redeem themselves. I played the switch 2 version of the game, It is a bit of a step up but has some building issues. Game Freak still have alot to go, and from what i saw in the leaks, Gen 10 would be their last chance to redeem themselves.

I feel emotionally drained with what’s going on with the internet rn. Censorship is happening left and right and privacy will soon be nonexistent. Is it safe to say that when that day comes, we’ll just go either off the grid or open source?

Or it might not be that, it could possibly and simply be the fact that AAA devs suck.(with the exception of CD Projekt Red and Marvelous/XSEED Games)

And they know that because Shuntaro Furukawa dodged the question when asked if game-key cards are the reason why third party sales are not doing well, but instead he only said how they work. Looks like Nintendo is doing something about stopping game preservationists.

I rest my case, your honor.

My theory about why game-key cards exists is to not give third parties the “option” to go “physical” and not because of the storage in switch 2, but it’s Nintendo’s attempt to make sure that ROMs of switch 2 games NEVER happen and to make sure no one ever pirates or backs up these games.
