Israeli military drops charges against soldiers accused of sexually assaulting Palestinian detainee The Israeli military said it is dropping charges against five soldiers accused of sexually abusing a Palestinian detainee in an encounter partially caught on camera.

The systemic dehumanisation of Palestinian life by Israeli forces is just one part of the darkest chapters in human history.

Imagine if every time an IRA bomb had gone off in London or Manchester the British government has bombed the shit out of Dublin and killed 100 kids. That’s the nearest equivalent I can think of. Madness.

The kind of pragmatism or ‘concern’ that means our environment always comes last in every single one of the guys choices.

Now comes the heat Add it to the war, and maybe we have a teachable moment

The next six months could be the ultimate in teachable moments, with rapidly rising prices for oil, and rapidly rising temperatures. And what do you know, we have a midterm exam coming up on November 3.

Dark money group offers influencers $1,500 for posts attacking Chicago Democratic primary candidate Progressive House candidate Kat Abughazaleh told MS NOW the secretive campaign is “filled with false and defamatory claims.”

HOLY SHIT.

A dark money group, hidden behind a bunch of shell companies, is paying influencers thousands of dollars PER POST to attack @katmabu.bsky.social on social media a month before her election.

Thank you to the people who declined the money and went forward with this. So who's behind this?

Primates for each state.

These are the primary dates for each state. We each have one state to worry about. Best strategy is to find out which of your candidates is the AIPAC stooge and vote for the next strongest candidate. Tell your friends and family, too.

Kingfisher perched on a reed above a wetland at golden hour, its bright blue back and orange chest glowing in the soft light. Moments like this show the wildlife our nature laws protect, species that rely on healthy habitats and wild places to survive.

Today, the Government stepped back from the most damaging recommendations that threatened to gut the laws protecting our most precious places for nature.

With wildlife already in crisis, anything else would have been reckless.

But avoiding the worst is not enough. Nature needs ambitious action.

Coolmore-linked company fined €100,000 for hedgerow offenses Shem Drowne Ltd has two months to pay the fine which was handed down by judge Deirdre Browne in Clonmel circuit court, Rachel Donovan reports.

Substantial fine but not max of €250k which shd have been imposed for flagrant breach of law & destruction of hedgerows. Coolmore statement that they werent aware of EIA regs doesnt hold water.Every beneficiary of CAP money receives a booklet with all the regs.

It is extremely difficult to construct a practical case against this position. Net Zero is now as much about patriotism as it is about climate change.

Tony Blair’s oil lobbying is a misleading rehash of fossil fuel industry spin Ex-PM’s thinktank urges more drilling and fewer renewables, ignoring evidence that clean energy is cheaper and better for bills

There are quite a few cynical and sinister figures in British public life. But Tony Blair is among the very worst. www.theguardian.com/business/202...

They don't see Palestinians as human beings. Raping another human isn't a crime to the IOF, even w/ evidence on film, bc they have dehumanized millions to normalize atrocities.

What the IOF is doing to Palestinians, ICE is doing to immigrants. Stephen Miller wants them to be able to do it to you.

The hard work is yet to even start on climate change adaptation. Our emissions are waaay worse that they seem

Also just a reminder that "well the percentage sounds small so why bother" is a right-wing talking point that has been used to argue against action for decades, and has somehow permeated centre-left spaces as a defence of AI and data centres in the past year or so
