It is so... so... close... yet so far... nearly there... but the effect it makes played together sounds like a toddler randomly keyboard smashing, it sounds horrible.

Also this interval is the flipped version of what's happening at the start of the pre-chorus) Oh, I'll love you better Inverted minor 6ths - has the effect of major 3rd (sounds gooood; Jin has risen one note here to make this sound good) Yaksok- Inverted perfect 5th again - effect of perfect 4th (lingering) -hae nae mameul saegyeo Same note, one octave apart - singing the same note, in sync, saying that they are one in their commitment to their promise Oh, I'll love you better than Same as previous line - reinforcing that their hearts are aligned Oh, I'll love you better Inverted major 3rds - effect of minor 6ths (dissonant, something feels off about it, like pining. What is happening in the melody line is that Wendy keeps bringing it one step higher and higher [think Christine in the Phantom of the Opera]. And what Jin is doing here is he's actually leapt a perfect 5th up in his harmonic line to try to catch up to Wendy - closing the gap from 8 notes to 5 notes...) Oh, I'll love you better Same as previous line With my heart on the Same note one octave apart (...except they find themselves split again...) window Inverted perfect 5ths again - perfect 4th effect (...and ending up with that lingering sound again.) Note: the effect of the perfect 4th always wanting to resolve to the tonic (home key) is called the "amen" cadence as it is usually used to end hymns in classical music. So if you have heard the ending of a hymn before, think of that second last note that is just lingering, the "a--" before the "--men". That's how these 'effect of perfect 4th's are supposed to make you feel, like it's teetering and close to completion. (Note: I didn't name the cadence, centuries of classical music theory did)

Oh, oh oh oh oh Oh, oh oh oh oh Oh-oh-oh, oh All the same note, one octave apart Oh, oh, oh Inverted major 6th (effect minor 3rd) Inverted perfect 4th (effect perfect 5th) Same note, one octave apart This sequence is Jin and Wendy again taking the same equal steps... but this time in opposite directions 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 because of this motion, the last note has the effect of them being on the same note but FAR APART 😭
