Congressional stock trading ban gets Senate panel’s OK Democrats agreed to exempt President Donald Trump to advance GOP Sen. Josh Hawley’s bill.

This is a small step in the right direction — of course members of Congress should not be allowed to trade stocks. Same goes for the president and vice president, no matter the party.

Congress should serve the people, not their own stock portfolios.

Gazans Are Dying of Starvation

The horrific reports of famine coming from Gaza are heart-wrenching and unacceptable. Israel, the United States, and the international community must ensure food and aid are distributed NOW before more people die.

There’s no good reason for ICE agents to conceal their identity—it’s creating unsafe situations and making it impossible for communities to tell if they’re interacting with law enforcement or impersonators.

I’m glad @schakowsky.house.gov is sponsoring this bill. I’d do the same.

The current moment requires both good policy and a track record of accomplishing progressive policy. I think Daniel Biss would be a great Member of Congress.
