Q for fellow ECRs, when and/or how did you decide to leave or stay in academia? Looking for any/all reflections :)
[Disclosure: prompted by an email notifying me it will take at least 6 weeks to hear if I am shortlisted for a job due to volume of applicants. A fun reminder of the state of things]
Would be much more interesting if not!
This word is very commonly used in early modern sermons and prayer books
Sorry to be clear I was saying that this is not about sex or sexual behaviours at all. I do not know this particular broadside so please do correct me, but from this page it is clearly a religious text about prayer. Ejaculation in religious terms means a sudden short prayer, usually to be said aloud
Except it's not about sex? But apologies if I am reading sarcasm wrong haha
Spent most of today so far transcribing 6 pages of a sermon and there another 24 to go. So now I am asking myself two questions, why on earth did 17th century sermons need to be so long (rhetorical, I know that I should know this haha) and why did I decide to work with them? π
Thank you, I will email you
Are there any Leverhulme Early Career scholars (past or present) on here who might be willing to share their application with me? π
