“No Front Teeth” is my favorite song from Perfume Genius’s LP “Glory”. I covered it doing both Mike Hadreas and Aldous Harding’s voices. My backing track has inspiration from the original but it always ends up my own. Check out the video and def one of his shows! on.soundcloud.com/fMtUx58xq03w...
I gave his version a go w/ my new mic. Holy reverb, I know. on.soundcloud.com/ukrpFtiL0iyE...
Funny how every song on Joni Mitchell's "Blue" was familiar. Never followed her since she was "my parent's music". I covered “Carey” because I visualized a bunch of hippies in the Mermaid Café on that warm, Greek island where she meets that mean old Daddy, Carey on.soundcloud.com/xFrao3GSSZL7...
Busy bee. Lining up Carey by Joni Mitchell. Brutal.
I had to stop Ep 8, Season 4 of Righteous Gemstones to figure out WTF this song was! I put this together 2 days after I heard it! Love the beat, and it was fun adding some industrial synth and sounds. Deep dive on

I love this girl! When Blondshell opened up for Liz Phair, I didn’t want it to be over! Her little groupies in overalls yelling “We LOVE you” next to me and every-single-song got me. I’m still hooked on her debut album where I found “Olympus”. on.soundcloud.com/nFPYrc9MtxQ1...
I just saw Sarah Mac in concert 2 nights ago & have been following her since her Vox days. She inspired me to get right to the mic as she still flawlessly hits her high notes. I enjoyed putting all of the parts and pieces together for the backing track of Mary too.

When you’ve given up all paid streaming services (and steal occasional logins from your BFF), it forces you to watch quirky shit from your library.
Saw the great SarahMcLachlan who gives me inspiration to keep trying to hit the high notes! Loved all her story sharing!
For pop, my go-to is Miley Cyrus. I laid this down as my son is playing Prokofiev Sonata No.3, Op 28 in the next room😂 Her new album, "Something Beautiful" does not disappoint! I sound like a church choir girl instead of her deep, throaty voice but I couldn't resist

More Suzanne Ciani. Iphone mic can't do it justice.
Went to the leafy suburbs to hear synth pioneer Suzanne Ciani at her alma mater, Wellesley College. She plays the Buchla synth and creates long soundscapes that are improvisational and very avant garde. It was a shot in the dark but I'm hooked!
When the news gets shitty (not hard lately), I divert my attention & make a cover. From Canadian musician @patrickwatson's 2019 album "Wave", "Here Comes The River" evoked various unexplainable emotions in me. Looking forward to his 2026 east coast tour. on.soundcloud.com/0pOqW2B15i2a...
On my way. Put it off too long for anticipated sadness and waterworks😭😢😭

Suffice it to say I am def an #OMD Super Fan. I was glued to the show. Andy looked at everyone in the eye, so engaging, fun and gracious (his dancing!). #Boston did not want them to leave. And #Waltdisco left us hopeful for the new gen of synth pop!
It’s happening OMD in #Boston tonight. Thanks to short-lived WXXP 100.7 FM, a whole world of music opened up to me in small town Pennsylvania, and I did not spend my youth listening to Top 10 pop music
I wrote a song! It’s called The Glow 🌟📱⚡️ a social commentary on the internet, the glow of devices in our faces. Youth can’t escape it. I've lived with and without it "Times without the glow were the best days way back then" Managers, my DMs are open 😉 on.soundcloud.com/Y9g64QBcOy0V...
I told myself I'd NEVER attempt a Sinéad song. I did it. I got chills while singing it then tears in my eyes while mixing it. My bucket list tour in a teeny venue was rescheduled 3X for Covid, mental health, then abruptly ended by her death. I'm still devastated!

I love it! That's the only reason I appreciate social media! The serendipity of it all. I watched his Netflix and got hooked fast. He also backs up LDR on Candy Necklace which I love!
Thanks! I’ll share with him. I mostly strike out. Let’s see.
I found my musical inspo for today. Down to my keyboard in a bit. A friend is sending me ideas to get my son from playing exclusively classical music 😂 Patrick Watson. Other ideas? Jon Batiste, Lauffey, Ben Folds… ?? youtu.be/A5nb3zOciTU
Current sitch. This instrumental version of Angie is so cool. From Gasper Noé’s movie Climax. “Take ur time. Just chilling in parking lot”😂
My 80 yr old Dad was visiting for my son's graduation and brought his beautiful Taylor, so we plugged it into GBand and started laying down some tracks. An apropos Bob Dylan song for my graduating son! I added my keys and harms! He still plays Open Mics at his age!

Need to play my vinyl more
Perfume Genius with his yoga ball, chair and crazy cords in Boston. Great show! Don’t miss!
I am watching one of these from the library tonight....hmmm. Total rando picks.
What is one movie where one musical artist does all of the songs and score? I was blown away by Z Berg in creepy horror, psych thriller Strange Darling (2023) youtu.be/teX38vZeoH4?...
When 21 Pilots brought their Bandito tour here in 2018, every boy at my sons’ school went. Parents were all no way we are gonna like their music. Well, 7 years later😄 "Ride" is from their 4th sudio album "Blurryface". I put it together in 24 hrs, tracks & vocals!

"Heart of Gold" by Fiona Apple, I mean, Neil Young. Holy shit! When I heard this cover a few days ago off new tribute LP, I got chills up my spine. On repeat and had to try it. Cymbal crash at end! Getting better at programming drums altho no harmonica in G Band :( on.soundcloud.com/ZyeiMtqNRZ7P...
