I think my eyes might not thank me for the amount of strain.
I'm using a 13" MacBook, which has a pretty good screen. I do think I would have done better if I'd tried harder, because after a few mistakes, I realised that I could actually find the boundary if I spent a little while looking.

The reason English spelling is full of inconsistencies and silent letters is because it’s not simply encoding how words sound.
If English spelling were aiming to represent sound it would indeed be a total failure.
But English spelling encodes words' meaning and history as well.
