Damn I started a run a few weeks ago and the first area was great. I think I'll update it to play a bit differently, I want to lean in the hand to hand combat stuff

The first episode was great, I'm so glad this fantastic game is getting a good adaptation 😭

I always love it when an enemy/boss naming changes during a combat encounter. I think its a cool narrative tool

SHAPIRO: OK, so you've spent your career creating television without Al, and I could imagine today you thinking, boy, I wish I had had that tool to solve those thorny problems...
SIMON: What?
SHAPIRO: ...Or saying...
SIMON: You imagine that?
SHAPIRO: ...Boy, if that had existed, it would have screwed me over.
SIMON: I don't think Al can remotely challenge what writers do at a fundamentally creative level.
SHAPIRO: But if you're trying to transition from scene five to scene six, and you're stuck with that transition, you could imagine plugging that portion of the script into an Al and say, give me 10 ideas for how to transition this.
SIMON: I'd rather put a gun in my mouth.

You would not believe how many stories like this have been popping up over the last ~5 years

Not just full games cancelledβ€”entire characters and plot lines removed or changed, leaving less time for making the *rest of the game better*, to try avoiding a small and malicious contingent of voices.

It's absolutely redeemable but there are some MAJOR issues with pacing, encounter design and enemy HP.

The combat itself and the ressources/systems are great

I've been replaying GNOSIA and it's even better on a second playthrough. There are so many different ways to read the game and characters it's absolutely brilliant.

And don't get me started on the art and music

GNOSIA being one of my favorite games of all times, to say that I am hyped is an understatement

I think more people enjoy complex women protagonists in video games than a few divorced YouTubers would have you believe

Some of the best writing I've seen in a game this year I love it so so much

I'm so glad you enjoyed it, makes all the struggle worth it πŸ˜€
This game deserves so much love, I hope to see more games with a similar concept, it has a TON of unexplored potential.

And I remember benchmarking Satellite Reign when working on it, it was definitely an inspiration! Really cool game

Yep, I helped Tindalos on game design and UX from Focus's side for 2 years.
They're incredibly talented and passionate, I'm immensely proud of what we made. Making something so unique was so challenging, but they pulled it off.

Absolutely, the writing manages this fine line between funny, horrifying, wholesome and depressed. It's incredibly full of heart, yet at times manages to be the best Cosmic Horror piece of culture from these last 20 years.

It's so good. The soundtrack SLAPS, the visuals are incredible and the amount of details, choices and consequences is frankly mind-boggling.

Also, I never expected the writing to be so humane and wholesome. It's now probably my favorite cosmic horror media ever

Everyone should play this game. It's probably going to end up being my GOTY (especially with the 2.0 Halloween update omg)

The original still plays and looks great (art direction is timeless)

With so much community made content like Revision or GMDX I don't see any reason to spend money on a 'remaster'

My main issue is the visuals being borderline worse than the 25yo original lmao

A lot of video-game publishers spend hundreds of millions of dollars chasing after "realistic graphics" and "massive open-worlds" when what players really want is just a shitload of weird little guys
