Spot on except for that you have to hate something whilst it’s on but when you start to hate the next current thing the thing you originally hated was actually quite good with hindsight.

It’s a fantastic book though and deserves to be picked up or listened to!

The thing that keeps sitting with me about that episode is change. This week I finished John Higgs’ superb ‘Exterminate/Regenerate’ which talks brilliantly about how the show is built on and driven by change, forever moving forward. I’m not 100% that this is anything like that.

Yeah but that was 13 that were written with the vague idea that they may not get another series. Different time for tv shows as well. I’ll add again that I don’t totally disagree with you. That first series had some awful episodes which I would happily never watch again.

It’s certainly got something to do with it because they had to cram four series worth of plot into two 8 episode series.
However, I’ll agree that that Buck also stops with RTD who could have cast somebody who would stick around and just relaxed a bit. A bit of fault all round.

Just kidding but for real this time. I don’t think any of that about 13, I just thought it would be funny to say.

Just kidding, Twice Upon a Time is also good.

Can I just say, as an episode without all the epilogue stuff, that was a pretty decent episode of Doctor Who imo. Nice for Thirteen to finally appear in a good episode as well.

In fairness, Ncuti would probably have got better if he decided to stick around for more than two series that were filmed back to back anyway.

I can only hope that Doctor Who 16 looks through all of time and space and picks 14 for a companion because of the irony.

People are forgetting about it because of the ending but it truly sucked a big one.

What the fuck are they doing with these classic villains man? Why do they keep taking something simple and gorgeous and turning it into a CGI nightmare with no related characteristics?!? There was nothing wrong with the mask. 😭

I watched that in the cinema. I liked it overall but there were a couple of things that I really didn’t like - not even like a ‘sort of didn’t get’ dislike; just flat out disliked. I don’t know what the rules are on spoilers so separate post.
