i want to go and interview them. i want to ask why they decided to be together and why they decided to leave without a trace. i want to know more about them. but what can i eventually achieve?

anime always shows the happy ending where the band miraculously survives against all odds, even promising to last forever. did kyojaku. went through any dramatic moments at all, or is it simply more of a straightforward answer: the priorities shifted, the world moved on.

i wonder, would they occasionally still remember those days where they had their instruments in hand and sweating on stages. or would they be filled with "adulthood" that left them no room for nostalgia. or they think they wasted their youth on something that didn't end well.

of course the members didn't just disappear. if you follow the handles you will find the keyboardist, who's currently a full time mom and sharing food she made daily; the drummer, graduated from top uni, doing thai-oriented marketing on tiktok.

there was no announcement or report or interviews of disbandment or suspension, it's just silence. if i were to guess, it's probably related to bassist withdrawal in 2012. after that, the band tried to continue activity for two years and even had a new ep, but that was it.

all that's left of them is their twitter account that froze in 2014, few music videos, few self-recorded live performances, and few fan covers. their work isn't even properly listed on streaming media—to listen to their album the only source is a bootleg youtube video.

they went through all the processes of an indie band: they had their concerts in o-nest, moon romantic and fever; they had a proper interview when they release their debut album. of course it wasn't a mainstream debut, but for an indie band that was basically everything.

i can't help but think about this all-girl post rock band named "kyojaku." that formed in 2008. four young and talented musicians, suddenly disappeared sometime in 2014 after releasing their final ep. 10 years later, their website is fully gone, not even a trace on wayback machine.
