Attend the upcoming info session for a deep dive into the 2026 Global Health Case Competition.
The YIGH Global Health Case Competition is an opportunity for undergraduate, graduate, or professional students from diverse disciplines and backgrounds to collaborate in developing innovative solutions to a global health problem.
Participating students have an opportunity to network and connect with students interested in global health from across Yale. The winning team will be awarded a cash prize and invited to present at the Emory Morningside Global Health Case Competition which includes students from schools around the world.

Innovative Financing for National Hepatitis C Elimination:
Insights from Egypt's Experience
Dr. Moustafa Abdalla is a Senior Health Economist at
the World Bank, leading health system reform and
pandemic preparedness efforts across Africa and the
Middle East. With over 15 years of experience spanning
policy, financing, and service delivery, he has shaped national and regional strategies that advance universal
health coverage and strengthen resilience in low- and
middle-income countries.
A medical doctor by training, Dr. Abdalla has previously worked
with the Islamic Development Bank, WHO, MΓ©decins Sans
Frontières, and Egypt's Ministry of Health. He regularly lectures
at leading institutions including Harvard, Yale, and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, focusing on innovation
and financing for sustainable health systems.
He holds a Master's in Health Care Management from Harvard
University and a Master's in Public Health from the London
School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
