And for those who cry the subway is unsafe, here’s a fact. In 2024, 250 people were killed by automobile violence in New York City. Of those, 115 were pedestrians mowed down by cars or trucks. Thousands more were injured. Meanwhile, 12 people were killed by violence on the subway in 2024. (pt 3)
