-tries to seize Congress's constitutional spending powers
-attempts to rewrite the Constitution unilaterally
-pardons violent insurrectionists who attacked the government
-fires the Inspectors General and DOJ prosecutors

would face immediate impeachment

If Trump‘s immigration policy had been in effect at other times in American history:

His grandfather, grandmother, mother, and wife would’ve all been deported.

And he wouldn’t exist.

If they were actively trying to start another pandemic, I'm not sure what they'd be doing differently.

I know several incredible humans who are neurodivergent. None of them celebrate like that. None of them cheer like that. None of them wave like that. None of them. It’s not a spectrum thing, it’s a him thing, and they all know it.

Elon Musk gave two Nazi salutes from behind the presidential seal. He wants you to know that he intended them as unambiguous Nazi salutes, and that there's nothing you can do when he denies that. Neo-Nazi groups recognize the fascist signal and cheer. Anyone who tells you otherwise is gaslighting.

Americans overwhelmingly opposed this.

He did it because he wants to send a signal to far-right domestic extremists all over the country that he will soon call on them to again commit violence to keep him in power—and if they do so well enough, they will face no consequences.

The message is clear.

Today is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and the presidential inauguration.

What a contrast in character, service, and self-sacrifice that will be on display today.

One person gave his life fighting racism while the other uses racism as fuel for his political movement.

NY Times alert: Breaking News: TikTok said it was in the process of restoring service to U.S. users after President-elect Trump said that he would stall the federal ban.

I’ll say it: this was clearly prearranged. TikTok shuttered itself early and unnecessarily (apparently the app stores were the ones who were supposed to enforce it, not the app itself) so that one day later they could unshutter it and the very man who initiated the ban against it could be the hero.

This entire thing was kayfabe. The law hasn’t changed, it remains in force, Biden had made similar assurances to the company to try to avoid a full shut-down, etc. etc. etc. This was just an artificially-performed crisis-moment and an artificially-performed saviour moment with no actual action taken

In 2020, Trump tried to ban TikTok.

He cited one of his reasons was "retaliation for the China virus".

He tried to force a sale to American Oligarchs. He was overruled by a federal judge.

In 2021, Biden revoked Trump's EO banning TikTok.

Let’s be clear: the whole thing is a con. TikTok could’ve kept the app rolling on Sunday but by shutting down & mentioning Trump, he gets to be the savior. One of many examples of companies & billionaires bowing down.
