Today, nearly every House Republican voted to surrender their own power to block Trump’s tariffs.

Trump’s illegal tariffs are taxes on the American people that are driving up costs, raising inflation, killing jobs, and weakening our economy.

I’m the daughter of immigrants. I built my career in the service industry—as a chef, small business owner, and community organizer.

In 2020, I became the first Asian American elected to the Wisconsin State Legislature.

Now I’m taking this fight to the next level.

My son is now what most would say is a quirky adult in a fro. He works as a middle manager at a shipping company for 10 years. He has friends and a girlfriend. He pays rent and taxes.

How did he go from nonverbal in English to functional?

I recognized my son had autism when he was 3 months old. I picked him up he’d cry. I put him down in front of his black and white baby bumpers; he’d coo. He had a preference for the geometric patterns over his mom. I’d see this in the neurological center I’d worked at.
