$8 billion of US #climate tech projects have been canceled so far in 2025
Battery, solar, and wind projects are getting killed in record numbers. Here’s a map of all the cancellations so far this year.

Just as the Bible warned, the Euphrates River is drying up. However, unlike supernatural explanations like the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, there is a very real environmental phenomenon driving this problem: chronic droughts and climate change.

"This is happening at a much faster rate than ever documented in the past… we are much more likely to underestimate the impact of those changes on human society than to overestimate them."

💡 Clean energy imports = more local jobs, not fewer.
Most solar jobs aren’t in manufacturing — they’re in installation, deployment & maintenance.
Clean energy tech is good for climate & boosts domestic jobs.

A bit of good news! I've just heard that the four Regional Climate Centers whose contracts had lapsed have received an official notice to get back up and running from NOAA. They should be running soon.

Climate laggard Poland?
Not anymore - coal used to provide 95% of Polish electricity.
Last year it was 53.5% with wind & solar providing almost one quarter.

The Trump admin plans to gut climate research at NOAA and NASA. In her new blog, UCS’s Erika Spanger recalls the moments in history that proved pivotal for many, including her, in fostering a commitment to understanding and responding to the mounting climate crisis.

The total investment needed for net zero before it starts paying back in savings is £319 billion—according to the Gov’s expert advisers.
That’s £5.62 a week per UK person. What a bargain for energy independence, clean air, warm homes, huge numbers of new jobs… oh, and a liveable future..!

By Olivia Rosane
"If, in fact, a majority of people in your community care about climate change, and yet elected officials aren't responding to that, that's a deficit in democracy.”
If your main concern is *jobs*, import restrictions on solar panels are crazy. Even if you create a few manufacturing jobs, you lose way more installation jobs, which are far more numerous.
